Lifelong Learning at Your Library

Last year, your Garfield County Libraries adopted a new strategic plan, and one of the four priorities identified in the plan is to "encourage lifelong learning" through the libraries.

We are taking this priority seriously. We are offering events for small business owners, health and safety events, history lectures, self-help, crafting, and book talks. View our calendars with upcoming events.

Your libraries also offer a wide array of books and audiobooks to help you learn about the world. We are part of a network of libraries that allow you to find and request books from all over the region. So, even if you are looking for a highly specialized topic, you have access to materials far beyond the walls of your local branch library.

In addition to the books and events, your libraries also provide 24/7 access to numerous online databases. With your library card you can learn a new language, use up-to-date car repair manuals, research your ancestry, and so much more.

We encourage you to stop by your local library (or use our website) and learn something new!
