Summer Reading 2012
About Summer Reading
Welcome to Summer Reading 2012! This year’s theme is Dream Big - Read!
The 2012 Summer Reading Program will officially start June 11th and continue through August 4th. The first day to pick up reading log bookmarks (and other goodies for kids) at the libraries is June 11th. This year’s program continues our Read Every Day (RED) format encouraging everyone from kids, to teens, to adults to read at least 20 minutes each day. For every 5 days of reading, participants receive a prize. Sign up for RED now and Dream Big this summer!
Once you pick up your first reading log bookmark you can start recording the days you read. The bookmarks are simple: check a box (or color in an animal) for each day you read. Once all five days are filled in you can return the bookmark to the Garfield County library of your choice. You will be given a prize and a new bookmark. You can complete a maximum of 8 bookmarks during the summer.
