Get a new library card

New library cards

The Garfield County Libraries wanted to get new library cards in conjunction with the adoption of a new tagline: Find Your Story. So after creating several possibilities, we conducted a public survey to determine which new library card designs to offer. We had an overwhelming response, and decided to offer 10 different designs that give people plenty of ways to show off the things which make them happy — whether it’s zombies, art, westerns, sci-fi or outdoor adventures.

We are excited to announce these new cards are now available. What’s more, we will be giving them away for free until July 15. Just stop by your local Garfield County Library and trade in your old library card for a shiny new one. If you’ve lost your old card don’t worry — you can also get a new one for free during this time.

While getting your new card, you can also sign up for text notifications. This new services will text you when your books and movies are ready, and if something is due back to the library.
