Garfield County Libraries Foundation

The Garfield County Public Library Foundation was formed as a 501(c)(3) in 1997 to “promote and foster the provision of public library services to residents and citizens of Garfield County, Colorado, and to provide financial support for the Garfield County Public Library.” (from the Articles of Incorporation of Garfield County Public Library Foundation, Inc.)

The Foundation supports the Library District financially through grants and donations, but the Foundation also supports the Library District’s mission to connect our communities to a world of possibilities. Community Outreach programs like Books for Babies support our community members through life-long learning.

The Foundation also works as an advocate for the libraries. The American Library Association has some great resources and information online if you are interested in advocating for your library.

New members are always welcome; if you want to make a difference for your library and your community, please join us! Learn more about planned giving and memorial or tribute Gifts.
