Cooking Matters Virtual Class

Cooking Matters is helping end childhood hunger by inspiring families to make healthy, affordable food choices. Learn to shop for and cook healthy meals on a budget. Successfully complete this online class and a survey to receive a $10 grocery gift card and a copy of the cookbook Good and Cheap: Eat Well on $4 per Day. Cooking Matters is nationally sponsored by Walmart and is a campaign of Share Our Strength, an organization working to end hunger and poverty. Presented in partnership with Garfield County Public Health.

Tuesday, October 6 • 10 to 11 am • Recipes: how to make substitutions based on what is available or on sale.

Tuesday, October 13 • 10 to 11 am • Food Storage and Kitchen Safety: freezing produce that is about to go bad, food safety and knife skills.

Tuesday, October 20 • 10 to 11 am • Kids in the Kitchen: ways to get kids involved in the kitchen.
