New Castle Branch

Can you believe this is our last class? We have had so much fun. Children in kindergarten through second grade are invited to the New Castle Branch Library on Friday, May 17, from 12:00 to 2:00 pm. With a few crafty sticks and some glue, Mrs. Margaret Cooke can help you make animals, frames, or even a special box to keep things in. Supplies and snacks will be provided. Come to the New Castle Branch Library on Thursday, May 9, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm for the New Castle Classic Film Club.  We will show classic films from around the world followed by lively discussion. Popcorn still hot from the popper will be served along with punch. Participants will decide on the next month's film.

 Bring your kids to meet Tim Seeber, aka Mr. Bones, and his 8 foot tall dinosaur skeleton puppets. Participants can help put a dinosaur skeleton together and pet a tyrannosaurus on the nose.This life sized dinosaur may just swallow you whole!

Mr. Bones: Paleo-Puppeteer takes place at the New Castle Branch Library on Wednesday, June 19 at 10:30 am.

Have you ever wanted to grow a terrarium? Join us at the New Castle Branch Library on Saturday, June 29 at 1:00 pm where you can learn to put together a beautiful container full of plants. Bring your own container and we will provide plants and soil.

The Friends of the New Castle Branch Library meet on the second Monday of every month at 6:00 pm in the library.

 If you love words, games, and having fun, then this club is for you! Our adult Scrabble Club meets from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on the second Wednesday of every month at the New Castle Branch Library.
Beginners and experts alike are encouraged to join our club. Make new friends and learn new Scrabble strategies. Scrabble boards, scoring materials and dictionaries are provided. Free and open to the public.
