Friends of the Gordon Cooper Branch Library Meeting
The Friends of the Gordon Cooper Branch Library meet once a month to discuss issues, programs, and volunteer opportunities at the library. Their next meeting will be held Wednesday, May 29 at 3:30 pm at the Gordon Cooper Branch Library.
Storytime for Toddlers & Infants
Enjoy age appropriate books, songs, and more at weekly storytimes for infants and toddlers. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Storytime will be held at the Carbondale Branch Library on Thursday, July 25 at 10:30 am.
Food for Thought: A Cookbook Club
Do you love browsing through cookbooks and trying new techniques? Then hang on to your spatula! The Parachute Branch Library is happy to introduce its newest book club, "Food for Thought." We pick the cookbook, you pick and make a recipe.
Food for Thought will be held on Thursday, August 22; Tuesday, September 24, and Thursday, October 24 at 6:00 pm.
Light Up the Night
You and your friends walk into the Library. The room is dark, except for the large projector screen filled with visual effects. Loud music vibrates through your body, and then...the bass drops!
Join us for our first epic dubstep glow party on Friday, August 16 from 7:30 - 9:00 pm at the Rifle Branch Library. There will be treats, give away prizes, lots of loud music, and a variety of light up glow sticks and skill-toys for you to experiment with.
iPad Club
Join us on Saturday, August 17 at 1:00 pm at the Rifle Branch Library for our monthly iPad Club. Meet other iPad enthusiasts, learn new tips and tricks, participate in monthly APP-tivities, and have fun!
Refreshments provided. Don't forget to bring your iPad. Or, if you don't have an iPad and are curious, come and use one of ours!
Teen Tech-Pizza Party Palooza
Are you a teen, age 12-18? Do you love technology AND pizza? And do you love to play with technology and eat pizza for FREE? Ya DUH!

Microsoft Windows 101
Join us at the New Castle Branch Library on July 27 at 1:00 pm in the Meeting Room for Microsoft Windows 101. Here, you will gain a solid foundation in Windows basics, learn tips and tricks to help you navigate its interface efficiently, and how you can utilize Windows to meet your specific computer needs. We will use the Windows 7 operating system to learn on and will discuss aspects of Windows 8.
Space and practice computers limited. Reservation required.
Movie Day
Kids in grades K-5 are invited to the Carbondale Branch Library at 4:00 pm to enjoy popcorn and a movie on our new projector!
This program is part of the Tuesdays @ the Library series.

Preschool Storytime
The Carbondale Branch Library offers a preschool storytime every Tuesday at 10:30 am for children ages 2 to 5. Enjoy books, songs, and more!
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Bilingual Storytime/Hora de Cuentos Bilingues
Stories, songs, and fingerplays for children ages 1-5. This bilingual storytime is held at the Carbondale Branch Library on Tuesdays at 10:30 am, and led by Alejandra Rico, Assistant Youth Services Librarian.
Cuentos, canciones y juegos con los dedos. Para niños de uno a cinco años. Alejandra Rico contará los cuentos y guiará las actividades manuales.
