Teens and manga artists, join your peers at the New Castle Branch Library every Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. to learn techniques and share your talents. All levels are welcome - just bring a pencil, paper, and your imagination. For more information call 984-2346.

We're adding a new element to our popular Wii Wednesdays! Join us at the Rifle Branch Library after school every Wednesday, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., and learn how to play the exciting new Math Wiz card game. Playing Math Wiz is a fun way to make math easier and quicker, while keeping your mind sharp and developing confidence in your mental math ability. Whether you're a dedicated mathlete or you're just waiting for your next turn with the Wii, come solve puzzles and earn points with us at the Math Wiz Club.

Join us for a community read presented by the Gordon Cooper Branch Library. Author Helen Thorpe will speak and sign copies of her book, Just Like Us, on Thursday, October 13, at 7:00 p.m. The event will be held at the Third Street Center Round Room and is free and open to the public.

Go back to school in style: design your own tie-dyed t-shirt! The Gordon Cooper Branch Library will help you create a unique piece of wearable art on Thursday, August 25, from 10 am to noon. This event is open to children of all ages, but space is limited. Participants must register at the library by August 13. Get ready for Mountain Fair with a hands-on Henna Tattoo program at the Gordon Cooper Branch Library on Thursday, July 28 from 4-5pm. Come early to try this temporary tattoo experience. You'll be all the rage at Mountain Fair.

Permission slips need to be signed by a parent to participate.

Bowling for Books is back by popular demand! Join the Gordon Cooper Branch Library at the El Jebowl on Thursday, July 21 from 4-5pm. Bowl your way into some great reads! Score prizes for the craziest bowling style, the highest score, and everything in between. Even if you've never bowled before, you should join the fun: you won't regret it!

As a way of honoring Teen Summer Reading 2011, the Gordon Cooper Branch Library invites you to dive into the theme You Are Here by taking you somewhere far away -- through a movie, that is. Please join us as we travel to distant lands and enjoy foods from a foreign destination. Movie TBA.
