Scrabble Club

 If you love words, games and having fun, this club is for you! Our adult Scrabble Club meets from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on the second Wednesday of every month at the New Castle Branch Library.
Beginners and experts alike are encouraged to join our club, which is free and open to the public. Make new friends and learn new Scrabble strategies. Scrabble boards, scoring materials and dictionaries are provided. 

Daytime Book Club

 Join this new book club where we will explore fabulous stories in the light of day. Please come prepar ed with ideas for future titles, and plan on having a good time sharing your passion for good books. Light refreshments will be served.

Daytime Book Club takes place at the New Castle Branch Library at 10:30 am on the second Wednesday of the month.

Scandals Buried at Fairmount Cemetery

 The annual Winter Lecture Series, a joint programming effort between the Frontier Historical Society and the the Friends of the Glenwood Springs Branch Library, will conclude its 2013 season with a presentation entitled “Scandals Buried at Fairmount Cemetery.”

Health Information on the Internet

 Would you like to learn techniques for finding credible health information on the Internet? Did you know there are medical databases available through the websites of Valley View Hospital and the Glenwood Springs Library? Would you like to learn what a medical database is and how you can use it to acquire personal health information?

Tackle It Tuesday

Calling all quilters, stampers, needle crafters and scrap bookers! Want to have a day of fun and accomplishment? We’ll have tables, irons, ironing boards and cutting mats all set up for your convenience. Drop in and bring your project for a day of crafting, food and friends. Bring your own lunch, refreshments will be provided.

Tackle it Tuesday takes place at the Parachute Branch Library on Tuesday, April 9 from 9:00 to 5:00 pm.

Learn Email

 The world is moving to electronic mail. It is environmental friendly, super easy, fast, and costs nothing. This 5 week class will get you started and at the end you will be very comfortable with all the features of your new email. Class is designed for beginners. Gmail is the email provider that will be taught.

Class takes place at the Parachute Branch Library on Tuesday mornings in April from 9:00 to 10:00 am.

 Does the whole idea of "estate planning" seem a little off-putting to you? Don't let the legal terminology fool you. Estate planning doesn't have to be difficult, expensive, or depressing. Come to a Living Wills Clinic at the New Castle Branch Library on Thursday, February 25 at 6:30 p.m. to learn about the basics of estate planning. Estate planning is something you do for your family. Get it done, and you'll feel better knowing that you've taken care of them. This free clinic is hosted by Alpine Legal Services.
