Adorable illustrations and a silly story make this a fun read for young children who love animals.
Bellwether by Connie Willis is a science fiction book for people who might think they don't like science fiction. While Willis is the winner of many notable science fiction awards including eleven Hugo Awards and seven Nebula Awards, this book reads like a romantic comedy. Connie is a Colorado author, and this endearing, charming novel takes place in Boulder. The main character, Sandra Foster, is a scientist in Research and Development at HiTek, a fictional research company. Sandra is a...

Bossypants

By: Tina Fey
Review by: Emily H.
I snatched this book (well, audiobook to be honest) off the shelf because I love Tina Fey. Everything I had seen her write or star in up to that point was gold. While sometimes I build things up way too much in my mind and there is no possible way they can meet my expectations, fortunately, this book was one of the rare cases which was able to go even above my lofty dreams. I recommend listening to the audiobook version because it is Tina, herself, who does the narration. She has the...
Rarely do I read a book that excites me so much I want to start it again as soon as I have finished it. Pam Houston's newest novel "Contents May Have Shifted," is that book. Part travelogue and part love story, she takes us on a round-the-world vacation while peeking into her heart. Pam Houston's sense of humor and her refreshing philosophy on life and emotion keep you engaged with all the characters from beginning to end. I highly recommend this to anyone who already loves her prose...
This book has been on the New York Times bestseller list for over a year, and it continues to be one of the most requested books at the library as well. It's the story of the life of a boy and his identical twin who lived in Ethiopia with their adoptive parents. Marion is the narrator of the book, and through his eyes we learn bit by bit about the events of his life. Verghese masterfully spins a tale in which all of the details come together to make this a book to be savored and enjoyed.
When this movie is playing I just want to grab a dodgeball, a wrench, or just something - anything -  and start throwing. Not because I'm mad, but because wouldn't it be fun to be part of that rag-tag team? Pain, humiliation, and S&M gear aside, they sure do have fun and make me laugh. This movie is plum full of ridiculous quotes and gut busting jokes. It simply makes me happy.
Combine animal noises, a talent show, and a trampoline to get one fun story the whole family will want to read again and again.
This book can be fun for those kids who just can't sit still. With a bit of suspense and sound effects, the story takes Tiddler on an exciting - and tiresome - adventure.

Float

By: Flogging Molly
Review by: Emily H.
The music of Flogging Molly is at times beautiful, and at others pulse-pounding and ruckus-inspiring. Yet this seven member crew has captivated fans (including myself) by combining their obvious instrumental skill with their phenomenal song writing abilities.
This movie surprised me. Wonderful and heartfelt performances by all the cast truly makes this movie work. The people are interesting and the story is unique without being over-the-top. I loved it.
